TCH submitted a comment letter to the FASB on their exposure draft, Disclosures by Business Entities about Government Assistance, jointly with the National Association of Manufacturers, the Real Estate Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The comment letter expresses a number of concerns with the proposed disclosures and suggests that more transparent outreach is needed to better understand the underlying issues driving the Proposal and how to meet those needs. TCH proposes that these disclosures may be better suited to Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) rather than in the notes to the financial statements and has offered to meet with FASB staff to discuss different options.
