Cheyenne Hopkins currently serves as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for the Bank Policy Institute. Previously, she was a Senior Vice President of Financial Services Policy and Capital Markets at Edelman. Ms. Hopkins developed and executing communications plans for clients in numerous financial industries ranging from banking, housing, insurance, fintech, and capital markets. She was responsible for offering financial services clients counsel in strategic policy communications, crisis and litigation response, media relations and executive engagement. She advised CEOs and other C-suite executives on crisis response, litigation, investor communications, and regulatory issues concerning federal agencies and lawmakers.
Prior to Edelman, she spent more than a decade of experience in financial and Congressional media. Ms. Hopkins worked as a financial regulation reporter for Bloomberg News covering financial regulation, legislation and housing policy. Ms. Hopkins served as a reporter for American Banker, Congressional Quarterly and Reuters. She covered the Treasury Department, the 2008 financial crisis; the creation and implementation of the 2010 Dodd Frank Act, anti-money laundering laws and regulations, and international financial policy and G20 summits.
