W. Scott Frame is Executive Vice President and Head of Research at BPI, where he focuses on issues related to securitization and household finance. He was previously Chief Economist and Head of Policy at the Structured Finance Association.
Prior to joining SFA, Frame spent almost 25 years at the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and Dallas in various roles. While at the Fed, he published numerous articles in leading academic journals and was involved in an array of projects related to financial stability, bank supervision, payments and monetary policy. Frame has also worked for the Treasury Department and as a professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Frame received his Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from the University of Georgia. He received his B.S. in economics from Arizona State University.
