Joshua Smith is Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for the Bank Policy Institute. Previously, Mr. Smith was an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP where he advocated and advised on policy and regulatory matters for banks and other financial services clients across a range of topics, including privacy, decentralized finance, permissible activities, capital reserves, and sanctions. Before joining the firm, he served as Legislative Counsel for an advocacy organization.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Harvard Law School and The City University of New York, Hunter College.
