Gonzalo Fernandez Dionis is a former Vice President of Research for the Bank Policy Institute. His responsibilities include carrying out economic analysis of banking and financial regulation. His research interests include the shadow banking sector, stress testing and capital and liquidity requirements.
Prior to joining BPI, Mr. Fernandez Dionis was vice-president at the Royal Bank of Canada in London where we worked as an equity research analyst, with a focus on technology, telecom, and media space. Mr. Dionis began his career at Barclays Capital.
Mr. Dionis has a master’s degree in public administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University where he specialized in central banking and financial policy. He holds a B.A. in law and economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a CFA® charterholder.
