Chris Feeney is an Executive Vice President at the Bank Policy Institute (BPI) and President of BITS, the technology policy division of BPI. Mr. Feeney collaborates with the nation’s largest financial institutions, the administration, regulators and policymakers to promote effective cybersecurity, resilience, critical infrastructure and operating practices and to develop and shape the industry’s use of emerging technologies.
Mr. Feeney has experience in executive management, technology, security, business/sales management and operating roles at software companies, banks, broker-dealers and investment management firms. His background includes strategic advisory work on behalf of boards, CEOs and leadership teams; and serving as managing director and Chief Information Officer. Over his career he has led numerous product, technology and governance transformations. He has also served as CEO, President, and in executive management roles at LPL Financial, Thomson Financial, Bank of America, Telerate, Multex and Broadridge Financial.
Mr. Feeney is the former Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) and current member of their Management Committee, and is currently a Board member of the Cyber Risk Institute, a Board and Operating Manager member of fTLD Registry Services and a Board and Executive Committee member of Sheltered Harbor.
Mr. Feeney was a Board Director at Scottrade, Inc. and Scottrade Bank, prior to its sale to TD Ameritrade and TD Bank, where he was the Risk Committee Chair and a Technology Committee member. Mr. Feeney is a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Governance Fellow.
