Austin Anton is the former Senior Vice President, Head of Communications for the Bank Policy Institute. He led BPI’s communications team and was responsible for media relations, third-party engagement and advocacy campaigns, ensuring the institute’s regulatory and legislative priorities reach policymakers, industry leaders and the public.
Since joining BPI in 2018, Mr. Anton has created and launched several successful policy campaigns, including “Stop Basel Endgame” and “End Anonymous Shell Companies,” leveraging a combination of paid, earned, shared and owned media.
Before joining BPI, Mr. Anton served as National Policy Manager at the Goldwater Institute, where he coordinated advocacy efforts across all 50 states, built issue coalitions and worked with policymakers to advance key legislative initiatives. He contributed to the passage of “Right to Try,” a landmark healthcare law enacted in 2018, and supported policy initiatives in healthcare, land use, and regulatory reform.
Mr. Anton is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
